[ Ko'olaupoko Watershed Plan | Ka'elepulu 'BMP' Park ]
KBAC is updating it's Master Plan for the Ko'olaupoko Watersheds to be an Environment Protection Agency (EPA) approved Watershed Plan. This plan identifies problem areas and recommends projects that can improve water quality. The new plan will include satellite imagery of Ko'olaupoko.

The KBAC is building a demonstration project on the shoreline of Ka'elepulu Pond. This project will build a park for residents and homeowners that will provide a shoreline landscape that is not only attractive but also provides effective sediment and runnof conltrol measures for Ka'elepulu Pond. Also, while the park is being built, students from neighborhood schools will be building a 'virtual park' for the internet. This project will provide 'hands on' water quality education for Hawaii's residents.
