KBAC Stream Awareness Survey

The KBAC Awareness Survey has been designed as a basic awareness tool for use by school children, community residents, and others interested in streams and improving water quality in our Ko'olaupoko watershed.

The results of the survey will provide a snap shot of a stream's conditions using five features: water clarity, stream life, channel/bank condition, stream side/buffer zone, and adjacent land use. This information will be used to help identify the various stream impacts, and future restoration efforts and activities to improve water quality.

Various teachers, community mentors, and organizations have expressed interest in using/offering the survey once finalized. Comments and feedback were suggested and incorporated into the revised draft and may be found here.
